Shandon Anti-Submarine Station
Shandon ant-submarine station was a World War I facility established in the area of Shandon, a small village in Argyll and Bute, located on the eastern shore of the Gare Loch, three miles (5 km) southeast of Garelochhead and three miles (5 km) northwest of Helensburgh.
The station is described as having been devoted to experimental work, and training, however its precise location is unknown, and we have no further details of its operation.⚠ [^Extract from Jane's Fighting Ships for 1919^]
