Map of World War II Sites
For anyone using Google Earth, the link given below leads to a placemark file which contains nearly all the locations of World War II airfields, anti-aircraft, decoy and radar sites in the UK.
In addition, it also has a number of radar installation positions included, together with the locations of the early sound mirrors, built to listen for aircraft approaching across the English Channel, or the sea, but were to be rendered obsolete by the arrival of radar. The listing may yet be expanded, so is worth the occasional check to see if there are any updates.
In addition to the locations themselves, the markers for each location can be clicked open, and contains additional data for the selected location.
