Colintraive Mine Control Centre
Colintraive Mine Control Centre was located to the southeast of Colintraive on the north shore of the Kyles of Bute, and controlled a World War II minefield which defended the route inland along the kyle, and was also referred to as the Kyles of Bute Defences.
Although the structure of the building still remains, it was later converted into a holiday cottage. The appearance of the building has been described as being similar to that of a searchlight house or platform building.
Following the end of the war in 1945, the minefield was cleared by deliberate detonation of the mines.
