Cardross Searchlight Battery
Records indicate that a World War II searchlight battery was sited to the east of Carman Road, Cardross, approximately 250 metres east of Bloomhill.
The report indicates evidence of two hut bases in a field at the given location, together with a brick chimney stack, four feet tall with a lintel, which may have been part of a larger hut.
(The reported location is slightly off the remains, therefore our map shows a second marker at the actual location of the remains described.)
