Brown Carrick Hill Relay Station
Brown Carrick Hill relay station is located on the summit of Brown Carrick Hill in South Ayrshire. The site lies about five miles (8 km) northwest of Maybole, just over five miles (9 km) southwest of Ayr, and overlooks the Heads of Ayr to the north, and the Firth of Clyde to the north and west. The summit rises to some 279 metres (915 ft).
A former Royal Navy microwave relay station, the site was taken over by US Navy, but was later to become a commercial operation when the Americans left the Clyde.
