AA Battery Netherhouses
A World War II anti-aircraft battery was sited to the southwest of Kirkintilloch, just north of Netherhouses near the junction of Lindsaybeg Road and the track to Burnbrae Farm.. Site number N11. Part of the Clyde AA Defences, the site was known as Netherhouses.
The battery was demolished when the area was cleared and a new house, Amberlea Grange, built on the site.
One concrete emplacement was reported to have been left remaining when the site was cleared, and its continued existence after the house was built is unconfirmed.
