Another SeSco find. This appears to be unrecorded by RCAHMS. I am sure greenock mentioned in one of his posts and with a bit of luck his Greenock Rellies will be able to add info to the Wiki page.
Pictures (2) to follow, eventually.

Nice :)
I may be preaching to the converted, but if you click on the Canmore or ScotlandsPlaces links on our page, because they 'know' the location, they lead to detailed and date mapping held by RCAHMS, and which is now delivered in a pannable /zoomable format, so these can be looked at in even better detail than old-maps, once this has perhaps been used to find something.
Sad to see that GetMapping appears to have taken the People's Map offline - but is still offering what was previously available on crossing their palms with silver.
Pity, when it was first released years ago I did actually suggest that they would take it offline once people had filled it in for them, I'd hate to think I was right, and not just being my usual pleasant and cynical self :(
The 'Out of copyright' map was really handy, being just old enough to show interesting stuff before the modern world swept much of it away.
