Cracking standard start to tonight's Taggart - a bloody murder with an axe on top of a stone with carvings, set on an island.

The precise location and name of the stone and carving escapes me, so I can't pinpoint it - yet.

I've seen pics of the spot, stone and carving (that was splashed with blood) umpteen times over the past few days, but as they weren't what I was hunting down I didn't note the name an location at the time, but was going to back later.

It'll come to me...  ::)

Missed it I'm afraid.

It was a bit simple, shallow, with none of usual twists, to my eyes at least.

I had a hunt for the stone site, but had to give up after a few dozen tries. I've just been through too many places while fixing pages recently, and they've all just run together - I can barely recognise well known ones at the moment.

Very irritating though, as both the names and locations have gone completely. Although I recognise both the stone and the carving immediately, I can't even think what part of the country they're in.
