From Saturday 30 January 2010 ‘WHAT’S THE WAR GOT TO DO WITH US?’ This fascinating exhibition, the culmination of a year-long research project, explores the impact the Second World War had on our local community. The exhibition features personal testimonies, rare archival items from the period and new information about the significant role played by north east sites such as Duff House, as a prisoner of war camp and the strike wing at Boyndie, where RAF Banff was based. The project ‘Their Past Your Future Scotland’ is part of a national initiative, funded by the Big Lottery and led by Museums Galleries Scotland. Duff House Country Gallery, Banff |
