I wonder anyone has any information about Kingairloch ?

I have seen odd mentions in books to Loch a Choire, Kingairloch having been used for "midget submarine" training probably chariots.  I have been told by a diver that there were two booms there and that some of the anchorages for the booms are still visible.  Just wonder if anyone has any more information?

I know it's not the core of the question, but worth a mention nowadays...

Kingairloch Hydro: British Hydropower Association

The name is new to me, and I don't recall its mention regarding any of the midget submarine types.

Do you know of any other military facilities nearby, from that time?

It would certainly have been an ideal spot.  Remote doesn't come into it and it would have been easy to close of with a boom.

They built the hydro project a few years ago before Glendoe though much smaller than that.

Nothing specifically close to there but there were lot of places in use in the wider area - Dorlin, Inverailort, Arisaig, Loch Eil, Corpach, Ballachulish etc etc.

I had a drive down there today but you can't see much from the road.  Perhaps have an explore on the shore in the Summer but a lot is quite steep so not easy to view.  I think I found a couple of bits of the Corran gun battery so the trip was productive!
