It doesn't appear to lead to anything useful.  The first time I tried it it led to the "windows cannot open the page".

I should add I'm just kicking the web design in this particular case, not Pevsner's books - I'd have to have to read to do that

I had no problem.

Clicked on The Guides, got a list of areas with a clickable map

Clicked on Scotland, got a list of guides for Scotland

Clicked on Argyll and Bute, got a general description of that volume with author, date, ISBN and cover image (I find these useful for my catalogue of my books).

New start for Keil Hotel

Published:  05 February, 2010

Dunaverty’s Donnie McLean bought the Keil Hotel and along with his sons Alasdair and Oliver is looking to renovate the existing building, hopefully creating jobs for the area and bringing Southend back to life. Although structurally sound the Keil is listed as a ‘building at risk’ on the Scottish Register. I hope they have deeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets

Apart from the official reports, there have been a number of new photographs placed online this year, and the detail they show is of a a place that looks as badly decayed and derelict as the descriptions of the past have suggested.

It's one thing to raise the cash and spend £30,000 to restore a Classic car worth less than £10,000, but the cost of restoring a flat roofed, Deco-style building that has lain open and exposed for thirty years can only be guessed at, and the need to meet modern building control, and the demands of Historic Scotland since the building has attracted their attention can only be imagined.

If it ever reached completion, unless funded by someone who has spare cash, it will have to be paying it's way for many a year at a loss until the investment is repaid.

It sounds to me like a  typical Argyll non news story.  The Observer has had many  of them over the years.

I see dunoon-observer.com has been released to the public.
