Just sorting through a buch of recent explorations - there doesn't seem to be a page in the wiki on Inchgreen, where the Faslane floating dock etc was assembled. I've got some pictures if there's interest:

Not sure if I've got the permissions to start a new page, but happy to write the text if someone alse can set it up

Permission?  Its a wiki, everybody can put up as many pages as they like.

You can write it live on site or write it elsewhere and cut and paste.    Don't be put off by the list text rules, just go for it.  That is how I got started.

Cool, will do - I wasn't sure as some wikis only allow editing, not creating new pages...

Not on this one, everyone is free to contribute pages.    I lurked around for a while when I first joined.   There were only about 40 pages  at the time and my knowlege of computers was/is quite limited but one night I thought what the heck I'll try a new page and all went well.  Gradually I have learned how to iinsert pics etc..    Old dog and new tricks as it were!

It all seems to be working normally as far as I can tell.  I am  not sure you can embed individual pics from Flckr, it is usually done from Photobucket.  It is OK to put in a photogallery  as pics for embedding can be extracted and rehosted at a later date.

Interesting - I'll try writing all the text first and saving that, then working on pics.

I tend to write the article using a word processing program then copy and paste it into the edit window as I find it easier as the screen view is then full page.  I have had no problems doing it that way.

Anyone know what the plans for the dock are?     As you can see the fence and trees have been removed and  the ground relevelled.   Is the dock going to be filled in?    There are  huge piles of crushed demolition debris in several places in Greenock at present.
